Online Event: Banoffee Pie Cheesecake (Kids and Teenagers)

Join Becca for this delicious and simple to follow online workshop, making Banoffee Pie Cheesecake aimed at children and teenagers but anyone keen to learn can join! As the session is an interactive class Becca will be able to see all participants and answer questions as they arise or offer guidance on how to correct anything that might go awry.

For this session, in order to minimise danger as the children are not the cookery studio, we will be using tinned carmel rather than making the toffee sauce ourselves and this is a no bake cheesecake recipe. However, everything else will be made from scratch and there will be plenty of bashing, whipping, melting, a little frying and hopefully lots of finger licking fun!

These online sessions are aimed at children working themselves, however we do ask for an adult to be in the room and on hand to monitor any parts which might require supervision, depending on the age of the participant.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Ingredients needed: (for approx 6 inch dish, please increase volumes if using a larger dish)

10 digestive biscuits
40g butter (plus a little extra for frying)
1 heaped tablespoon golden syrup (or honey if preferred)
1 banana sliced
½ tin of carnation caramel
½ a tub of cream cheese
150ml double cream
2 tsp maple syrup
2 tbsp of icing sugar

Decoration (optional):
1 banana sliced
Extra caramel
Chocolate for grating/shavings

Small mixing bowl
Frying pan
Strong plastic food bag
Knife
Teaspoon
Dessert spoon
Tablespoon
Weighing scales
Zester/grater
